Massage Therapy
The harmonization of our energy, through a balance of our body's
cells, acts and reacts synergistically. When this flow of energy
becomes disrupted or unbalanced, removal of these blockages may be
necessary to facilitate one's inner healing power.
At Pour Le Corps, we offer a holistic approach to massage therapy
and implement varying techniques: pressure point therapy and Reiki
(energy healing therapy); all combined for a special and elevating experience.
Classic Swedish Massage
This relaxing and soothing massage reduces tension in specific
muscles due to muscle strain and stress. Using classic long massage strokes, this swedish massage relaxes muscles and promotes an increased oxygen level in the blood allowing toxins to be released from the muscles. This massage will leave you feeling balanced, refreshed and peaceful.
Deep Tissue Massage
The therapeutic focus of this particular massage is for the deep relief of tired and stressed muscles. Slow deep pressure across muscles, combined with pressure point therapy is used to ease and restore proper functioning to the muscles. Deep massage is applied to specific muscle groups in combination with integrative Swedish massage strokes to the rest of the body.
Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatic "Decleor"essential aroma oils are applied using long and glorious Swedish massage strokes in combination with hot compresses and a collection of energy balancing techniques inluding Craniosacral, Reiki, and Acupressure to provide a soothing dreamy sense of deep relaxation.
Hot Stone Massage
Combining traditional Swedish massage with warm stone therapy, this sense of warmth promotes an overall feeling of relaxation and is also quite beneficial for the relief of tired muscles. This is not a deep tissue massage, but the penetrating heat will reach your muscles, your core and may even soothe your soul.
Craniosacral Massage
A gentle and precise touch, this massage modality focuses on specific areas of the craniosacral system, the system that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord. This massage encourages the body to initiate the body's onw individual and natural self-healing process.
Pregnancy Massage
A massage specifically customized for the unique mothers-to-be. Our sideline method using body pillows allow the therapist to gently relieve stress on weight-bearing joints while keeping Mom and Baby happy and comfortable. Neck and back pain are attended to and both Mom and Baby leave feeling rejuvenated.
Reiki
Reiki Therapy is a holistic energy-based therapy that focuses on healing the body at the source of illness. Reiki promotes
a sense of wellness and a renewal of the mind, body and spirit. This
natural and calming form of Japanese energy healing helps to reduce stress and improve
clarity of thought. Reiki treatments restore well-being and balance
by promoting emotional, spiritual and physical healing. Wearing comfortable clothing, the therapist works to soothe your body's energy promoting an overall sense of harmony. It can be performed in the energetic fields away from the body or "hands-on".
Reiki allows you to access a higher awareness by
encouraging your own abilities to heal yourself of physical, mental or
spiritual ailments.
This natural Reiki healing therapy technique is thought to have developed
in Japan around 1922
and then introduced to the West during the 1960s and 1970s. Western
physicians are becoming more aware of the significant benefits of
combining Eastern practices with traditional Western medicine.
(Reiki Therapy is an alternative approach that adds to health and
wellness, and does not take the place of your primary care physician.)
